theArtWorks™ houses  a 7K square foot gallery, artists studios, coffee shop, wifi, and more.  The gallery gives artists a place to work their work, the community an event venue.  Studios include workspace, individual galleries and shop.  Meeting and classrooms are also available. And of course, the coffee shop and wifi enhances space for conversations, meetings, and social interaction.

Silver Arts / Senior Games By the Sea May 11th 12PM-1:00PM

Bring your Mom to theArtWorks™ on Mother's Day to enjoy live entertainment by Susan Savia between 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM and for a chance to win a beautiful basket of flowers.

Senior Games by the Sea, through the SilverArts, provides the platform for the creative talent of the visual and heritage artists along with the performing and literary artists   Participating artists, age 50 and over, will compete in the various categories of the visual and heritage arts for first, second and third place.  Visual Arts competition will include 2-D arts such as painting in oil, acrylics and watercolor.  Drawing, mixed media, photography, pastels, and sculpture are also included in this category.  Heritage Arts, a 3-D category, will include basket weaving, all the needle arts, pottery, quilting, stained glass, woodworking, tole, decorative, and Chinese painting as well as jewelry. Winners will have an opportunity to go to Raleigh to compete state wide. The exhibiting artists will also have an opportunity to sell their creations during the three days SilverArts is open to the public.  Prior to the opening to the public, a reception and awards ceremony will be held at theArtWorks™ honoring the winners and celebrating the creative abilities of all of the participating artists.
