theArtWorks™ houses a 7K square foot gallery, artists studios, coffee shop, wifi, and more. The gallery gives artists a place to work their work, the community an event venue. Studios include workspace, individual galleries and shop. Meeting and classrooms are also available. And of course, the coffee shop and wifi enhances space for conversations, meetings, and social interaction.
Join us! Thursday at 5pm!! What it will be: Maybe some of you saw Las Artistas at theArtWorks when they were here May 2023. This is a group of women abstract painters from all over who became friends and get together somewhere once a year to paint big. Really big! They loved being in Wilmington so much, they wanted to come back, so local hostess, artist Peggy Vineyard, arranged with Jim Knowles to make it happen. Jim will once again temporarily turn part of the spacious Verrazzano Gallery of theArtWorks into a studio where these twelve creative and gracious women can paint, and splash, on very large canvases. While in Wilmington, they will also be sightseeing and socializing, but it is the love of art that brings them together.
