Perry Smith offers classes on guitar, mandolin and hand percussion. Classes are taught in 30 minutes or group sessions.

DRUM CLASSES
Available to teach in drum circles or travel with drums. Learn basic hand drum skills, some West African rhythms, hot to freestyle, and have fun playing with others.
GUITAR CLASSES
Classes are taught in a three part system:
Reading Music - classical and contemporary
Playing Songs - chords and singing
Lead Guitar - theory, scales and improvisation

In addition to classes, Perry brings the perfect music to your event (and that includes theArtWorks-Wilmington(tm) events!). He has been performing for a wide range of audiences since he was a child and plays solo or in ensemble.
Perry's specialties include the following: classical guitar; electric guitar; acoustic guitar; Native American flute; mandolin; original songs; popular songs; West African and Middle Eastern percussion; percussion for musical groups; drum circles; and dance accompaniment.

Oil and acrylic painting classes
Contact Gloria Williams and schedule a date, space is limited.
Fee: One class night - $65.00 for 2 hours.
Three consecutive - one day a week - $130.00 for 2 hours.
From ages: 16+
Beginner to intermediate students welcome!
Focus on design, Color and how to simply your composition for painting subjects.
Acrylic paints and easels will be provided by the instructor.

Fiber Art Classes with Susan Kranyik
Botanical shibori
Learn about botanical dyes and clamp and resist shibori techniques in one class!
Students will get experience mixing three botanical dyes- one alkaline, one acidic, and one neutral!
Students will make four 11x 14 inch samples of shibori with the three dye pots available.
Students will leave with enough fabric samples( 2 kona cotton, 2 silk) for a future project of their own, or,they can come back to my studio for a “sewing “ day.
Class is 3 hours: $75
Eco printing
Learn the basics of eco printing! How do you get a good print? Why do some leaves print and not others?
This is a beginners class that will teach the very basics of how to get a leaf to print on fabric.
Students will make three compositions, 11 x 14”, on various fabrics- cotton, linen, and silk.
The cotton and linen compositions will be aided with an iron blanket, which will add 2 more pieces of fabric to their stash!
The silk composition will be produced by soaking the leaves in iron.
Class is 3.5 hours: $75
