On this thought provoking Thursday we welcome our esteemed guests, poets, and various artists . He was an American historian, author, journalist, and founder of the Association for the Study of African-American life, and History. Woodson has been called “Father of Black history”. In February 1926 Black History week was born. What started out in 1976 as A traditional week long celebration expanded to a month. The month of February was selected to coincide with both Frederick Douglas, and Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday.
