Todd Carignan was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. He fell in love with drawing soon after his parents enrolled him in private art lessons at eight years old. Carignan attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he received his BFA in Sequential Art and a minor in Art History. He excels in many mediums, studying a variety of subjects - having worked as a cartoonist, illustrator, concept designer, portraitist, and gallery fine artist - but his true passion is oils.
Carignan teaches at Museum School at Cameron Art Museum with special focus on portraiture, figurative and landscapes. Carignan also teaches at DREAMS of Wilmington, a non-profit after-school arts education program for children. He has won multiple awards and has art in collections all over the US and internationally. You can find him painting across India, Vietnam and the US or in his studio at ArtWorks Art Village in Wilmington, NC.
