I am a ceramic artist based in Wilmington, NC. My studio is located at The ArtWorks in downtown Wilmington. The studio is named after my love for an elegant and grand creature; The moose. Dainty Moose Mudworks came to be in June of 2014.

I create scuptural pieces as well as functional wares. All pieces are handbuilt; I do not utilize a wheel for any of my pieces. Glazing is the part of the process where I can truly express myself. I enjoy movement and flow within my work. To achieve this I drip glaze in a rhythmic pattern. Drips, splatters, and the fusion of glazes breathe life into a piece. The way the glaze falls onto the piece mimics my mood and emotions at that point in time. I try to fuse the ancient art and craft of ceramics with the modern painting style of abstract expressionism. As I work I like to imagine myself as Jackson Pollock glazing pottery. Two distinctly different worlds producing a vivid and inticing child.
